A: No , Registering at the office is all you need to obtain a bid card .

 


 
A: You can preview some of the items on the website. Keep in mind this is always just a portion of the items that will availalbe on auction day. Please visit us at the auction before the auction day to see everything. If this is not possible be sure and have your information ready when you call to place your Absentee Bid.
 
1. The page Number of  Glassware or Furniture Pages
2.  The Number under the item you wish to leave a bid on

A: This is when circumstances or distance keeps you from attending the auction.

Q: When is the latest  I can leave an Absentee Bid?
 
A: We will take bids thru noon on Friday. This enables us to get them all in before the auction.

 
A:  A Hold or Whole Bid is often used when selling dining suites.
Example : The auctioneer will take bids individually on each item
Lot 1-123A Set Of 6 Dining Chairs
1-123B Dining Table
1-123c China Cabinet
The auctioneer will then add all the items in that set together and add 10 % Offering it back up for bid as a set. If at that time a bidder wants the set complete the bidding reopens as a set,  1-123 d French Dining Suite as a Set.  
 
A: Your bid times the number of pieces. Example : 12 pieces of Crystal Stemware. $15.00 bid times 12 pieces

 
A: When the ringmen ( The person showing the piece selling ) and the auctioneer have different bidders at the end of the bid. It is then determined at that time by the auctioneer whether to reopen the bid between those 2 bidders.

 
A: By raising your bid card at the amount you are willing to pay. You put your bid card down when the price has passed your limit.
If for some reason the auctioneer calls Sold to your #. You must the at that time stand & bring it to his attention that you were no longer bidding. Enabling him to return to the back bidder. Otherwise when the ticket is recieved in the office the item is then your property and is legally bound for payment.
 
I must say and not because he belongs to me haha. He is the most understandable auctioneer ever. Don't Be Afraid 

 
A:   10 % is added to every item
Example :
You bid $100.00 on an item
It will be $100.00 plus 10% = $110.00
We charge sales tax unless you have a resale permit. ( We must have a copy to have in our file )
 
Honestly this fee is what enables us to have a clean ,climate controlled , comfortable facility.
Otherwise we would still be in the old leaky barn we started out in.

 
A: Due to the outrageous fuel prices we charge a fuel fee when picking up consignments. Otherwise you would have to haul your items to us.

 
A: Basic commission fee is 30% unless otherwise determined by Haskell Antique Auction.


 
A: Yes, we offer delivery. Rates are determined by mileage. Please keep in mind that we do have a large delivery truck & a truck with a large enclosed trailer. It is sometimes difficult to get close to homes with trees along the drive. Please inform in advance if this is the situation in order to help us determine which truck to load in. Haskell Antique Auction does not deliver upstairs. 


Q: Do you offer Shipping ?
 
A: Yes, we can ship most anywhere . Please keep in mind the time it takes to get an advance quote and try to call in or email your shipping information well in advance to the auction. We will do our best to provide you pre-auction quotes.

Q: Do you offer a Load Out Service?
 
A: Yes, we offer a load out service for your convenience after the auction. Please be patient with our workers as they work hard to load everyone's items safely and quickly. We reserve the right to refuse this service to rude and inconsiderate customers.  
Q: Do you pick up Estates?
 
A: Yes, we are happy to pick up estates.
